WINE TASTING EVENINGS
We are launching our first series of tastings for 2026. Across these four events, we are celebrating some of the world’s most exciting wine regions and producers. From the elegance of Tuscan Chianti and the high-altitude wines of Mendoza in Argentina, to the delights of Valpolicella. Noel will also be hosting a special evening where he shares some of his favourite wines, including those from his travels (and winemaking days) in Australia and his more recent exploration of the breadth of modern Spanish winemaking.
Each event offers a chance to taste remarkable wines in the company of the people who know them best. Expect lively conversation, generous pours, delicious food, and a few surprises along the way - all in the relaxed, welcoming surroundings of our NYWines Bar.
The Wines of Fattoria Selvapiana, Tuscany, Italy - Wednesday 18th February. 7.00pm
Join us for an evening hosted by Federico Giuntini, owner and winemaker of the legendary Fattoria Selvapiana in Tuscany. Discover the wines of Rufina, Chianti’s smallest and most refined subzone where exceptional Sangiovese-based wines are crafted from prized west- and south-west-facing vineyards, including the iconic Bucerchiale and the estate's Vin Santo.
Fine Wine Tasting with Noel Young - Wednesday 25th March - 7.00pm
Eight great wines, lots of information, lots of discussion and some excellent bread and cheese afterwards. Noel will have just come back from around three weeks in Australia (his first visit in over seven years and first since selling Magpie Estate). So expect some high-quality wines from Australia, almost certainly from Spain and maybe a few others that have really impressed.
The Wines of Kaiken, Mendoza Argentina - Tuesday 14th April - 7.30pm
Kaiken takes its name from the wild Patagonian geese that fly freely across the Andes — a fitting symbol for the winery’s story. Founded in 2002 by legendary Chilean winemaker Aurelio Montes, Kaiken was born from his vision to cross the mountains and unlock Mendoza’s vast potential for world-class wines. Kaiken specialises in Malbec and outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon, including rare old vines in Vistalba, Luján de Cuyo, first planted in 1910.
The Wines of Allegrini, Veneto, Italy - Wednesday 27th May - 7.30pm
We round off our tasting programme with one of Italy’s most iconic producers: Allegrini of Valpolicella. This promises to be an evening that combines heritage, innovation and outstanding Valpolicella, across the Allegrini range, from the bright Vapolicella full of red cherry fruit and lifted perfumes to the intense, rich Amarone.
